In the period 1
Jan - 30 June 2012 67481 arrived. In the same period this year that number rose
to 75,529. This is a 12% increase.
The table above
also shows the continued growth from English speaking countries particularly
the United States of America.
There is also a
noticeable reduction in the number of Spanish pilgrims on the camino. This year
38% of pilgrims were Spanish. This is a 7% decrease on last years’ figures.

While I could probably try to dig this up myself, I'm going to ask the question hoping you've got a ready answer.
ReplyDeleteWhile the percentage of spanish pilgrims is going down, what do the raw numbers indicate? Meaning, are the percentages going down because more foreigners are coming? Or are spaniards coming in fewer numbers?
